Description

The Tokyo Bentos are what happens when a gangster past collides with a soccer future. Shinzo 'Bossfoot' Umezawa, an ex-enforcer, is dragged back onto the fields after the Keep Children Safe™, an initiative by Momoshiro Corp.™, threatens to foreclose the orphanage he runs and “emancipate” the 21 kids under his care, relocating them into the Salt Mine Hotel™. With no other choice, Shinzo returns to the league, bringing his hard-knock tactics and 21 karate-black-belt children along for the ride. Let’s just hope no one tries to copy his unique, self-developed karate style to train a league of morally dubious mercenaries. With them, every corner kick is a show of loyalty, and every victory sparks suspiciously coordinated karaoke.
